First few weeks

Hello again,

I havent been writing anything for a while mostly becouse I was to busy with my exams.

Lets start then from the beginning. I landed in UK and was awaiting for massive rain and bad weather but instead of that I was welcomed with 25 degress and beautiful weather. What a surprise. I think that year was one of the warmest one so lucky me. Anyway I was picked up from the airport and on my way I could admire the view which to be honest is the same as in every each country. Fields ,fields and ships which I found very cute. It was very weird to drive on the left side so for a while I had a feeling that someone would hit the car or we would that.

First week I was walking around the city and was trying to catch any english words and need to say I fall in love with english accent. It was so much different from the american version which they normally teach us in the school. I realised as well that many people use word CHEERS in the shops. I was like what the hell i always thought they only use that to say when they drink. My sister laughed at me so much and she nicley explained me its just other way of sayin thank you.

I found British people quite funny and friendly thou I have seen as well the way how they acted toward me when they were founding out I am from Poland. It was bit strange but you can not pleased everyone.

I think what was the hardest part for me was the fact that I could not decsribe my own thoughts and feelings   even if I could understand at least half of the things which people were saying to me.Believe me it takes the whole confidence from the person and makes you feel like idiot and the bad part is that people treat you like an idiot as well. I feel very bad for people who can not speak english at all and moved to UK. It is terrible feeling.

I think within a week time I started to work thrugh hospitality agency. I was working in many places from that time. Many hotels, private birthday parties, shows etc. Till this day I think it was one of the hardest time and funniest time of being in UK. Hard becouse of many hours I was working and funniest becouse of the amount of the people I could meet , places I could see. It also helped me to realize how some rich people live in UK. Beside that thanks to my crazy sister I have decided to do beauty course in the college. So yeah there is me being in UK 2 weeks , understaning some english and speaking bit of that but hell why not. I went with my sister for the interview and I made a decision in the bus which took me maybe 10 second , asked in the recepion if its possible and after 2 tests english one and numeracy one I was officialy college student in UK.  Till this day sometimes I still ask myslef why the hell I have done it. If I would need to be honest 16 years old girls in UK are very very mean. If one of the person from the college would not help me I would probably not finish that but till this day I am very thankful for her for her help, good advice and understanding that the fact that maybe my english is not perfect and sometimes I got dificulties to say somehing it doesn not mean I am an idiot and I can not see what is happenning around me. BLESS you girl.

Well what can I say. Firstly if you want to go to UK learn english as fast as possible plus remeber it is UK. What I understood it is also the fact that in UK you can do whatever you want. Follow your passions. If you want to and do gardening course none would tell you what you will do in the future and how you would pay for your bills. Over here with that you can have a good job, follow your passion and do not worry to much.

For the young person like me few years ago it was something big. I did not need to study subjects I hated and go to univeristy becouse in the other way I would not get any job. You got complelty freedom. I think till this days english people do not really appreciate this fact. 😀
